Congratulations Coach Cahill , on your return to Yale. Will any of your current players be following you to New Haven. Will you be retaining any of the Yale coaching staff.? Good luck to you in your new endeavor. Go Bulldogs
Cahill just said at a coaching conference that the Yale staff is staying put. Great news!
That’s the smart thing, as well. The players work more with the assistant coaches then they do with the head coach. It should make for a much smoother transition. Hasn’t Cahill worked with some of the assistants when he was here?
He’s worked with a McGowan, Ostrowsky, Ruce and Vashal.
I’m very happy.!!
Cahill press conference will be at 11:00 am on Monday. It will be broadcast on ESPN+
Re: the Yale Daily article previously linked here by Ken, Feb. 27 in the “Reno Steps Down” post’s comments… initially the news of eight key guys transferring out sounds alarming, but then eyeing the list, I believe only Spencer Mermans ’28 and Ezekiel Larry ’27 had Yale eligibility left. I am hopeful that incoming transfers will more than make up for their absence (plus first-years, of course).
