Yale 28 Holy Cross 10

Yale made the necessary adjustments at halftime to pull away convincingly. Dante Reno over threw a few balls in the first half, but settled in nicely for an impressive debut. Bennett and the entire offensive line got tremendous push on all the red zone rushing TD’s. Yale’s secondary was beat badly on a few long balls, but escaped due to dropped passes. This needs to be rectified. Kamara and Pitsenburger lived up to their reputations. Nico Brown a very pleasant surprise. Yale’s offense is the only team to put up more than 19 points this season against an excellent Holy Cross defense. Clean up the penalties and beat Cornell!

Thank You SOE, excellent summary of today’s game. I see a very special season blossoming from today. Kamara and Larry were beasts.
The run defense was smothering, good linebacker play. I talked to a Holy Cross fan who was surprised by how Yale handled Holy Cross. 🙂

After yesterday’s game Yale is coming in ranked at #126 in Division 1 football (including FBS teams) according to Sagarin. He would have them ranked #12 in FCS. It might take a few weeks for the coaches poll and stats poll to catch up, but if Yale beats Cornell and Lehigh to go 3-0 these polls will undoubtedly rank Yale in the top 25. Ranking important now for playoff seeding.

Cornell already has an article up from their Associate Sports information Director, Shawn Gillian. Imagine that. It’s titled know your foe. It goes over the intricacies of the Yale Football team.
I wish they worked at Yale.!!
