The Ivy League Presidents are tying the hands of our football teams even more than usual next year. When Yale opens against Holy Cross next season on 9/21, HC will be playing their fourth game. Talk about putting your student athletes at a tremendous disadvantage.

YALE HAS RECENTLY OFFERED HOWARD FISHER, QB, 5 11″, 170 LBS. WYLIE EAST H.S., TX. HE APPEARS TO BE SIMILAR TO THE STYLE OF LAMAR JACKSON.

INTERESTING NOTE: COACH RENO APPLIED FOR THE HEAD COACHING POSITION AT BOSTON COLLEGE.

Unfortunately, Howard Fisher’s a junior who’s likely to attract a lot more offers. Do we have any QB prospects for this fall?

Brady Gephart from Austin. Dual threat. Smaller profile but dominated one of the toughest 6A districts in TX last year. They just offered his ’25 WR (Ed Small) yesterday. They combined for 19 TDs last year. Watched his film based off a Rico Knows recommendation from his evaluation of Ed Small, where he kept calling out the QB. Kid can play but is overshadowed by the big programs in his district. Smart kid too, Twitter says 1480 SAT.

We should start looking for a new coach. Now. It’s obvious Reno wants to move along, and whatever happens with BC, his head’s no longer in New Haven.

Good luck to Reno if he does get it. But don’t put the donkey in front of the cart just yet. They have a lot of applicants for this job.

A win over UConn in 2021 would probably have raised Reno’s chances of being on the short list for filling FBS head coach vacancies.
Looks like Bill O’Brien will get the BC job.

Speaking of Yale football in 2021, does anyone know where Griffin O’Connor ended up? Did he ever play anywhere else?

We lost a great friend and fan of Yale Football and Men’s Ice Hockey. A week ago Stu Cohen passed away last Monday.
Stu was a fixture at Yale Bowl and Ingalls Rink. I’m gonna miss ya buddy with all my love .

It’s Steve Conn, and yes he was (or “is,” I can’t find an obit) a smart, wonderful guy, utterly devoted to Yale and affectionately known to the players as “Conn Man.” Alas, Conn Man was driven out by T. Beckett’s bureaucracy-building successor and her low-watt subordinates who knew and still know nothing of Yale.

That’s very sad to hear. Even though I didn’t know him personally , I’ll always remember him wearing that #01 Yale jersey to all the games. He was a fixture at the Bowl on Saturdays.

Is it possible that the quarterback who transferred did so because he knew he would not be starting next season?

Maybe How’s is the best choice.

David , he had a valid shot, if he thinks it will be easier at Florida . He’s dreaming.
More to it than that. Most likely home sick . He’s a Florida kid , could be the NIL benefit or lack of it. . Too bad Yale could have really used him.

Xavier Rivers, Northwest HS EDGE/OLB 2024, 6’2”, 230lbs.
All-County DPOY | All-State 1st Team | All Met 2nd team

Brady Wagner, TE, 6’2”, 226lbs, Grapevine Tx. Offers from Army, Navy, Air Force, Miami of Ohio, La. Tech, Princeton, Dartmouth, Columbia, Fordham, Holy Cross, Georgetown, Colgate

So in signing the NIL , is he still keeping his options open.? Or is he coming to Yale now.

ALL THAT I CAN ASCERTAIN IS THAT HE IS COMMITTED TO YALE. HOPEFULLY, THIS IS THE END OF THE STORY.

Seems for now Tony Reno , will be the HC at Yale for the foreseeable future.
Bill O’Brien the Ohio State OC is the the top choice. Followed by Jeff Monken The Army Head Coach. Paul Chryst the former Wisconsin HC.

Cuttler Adams 6’1” 195lbs RB Robbinville HS , Robbinsville , NC offers Georgetown, Dartmouth, Columbia , Lehigh and few others. Thank you Fl Fan

My pleasure to be able to contribute, JH. I love your enthusiasm for Yale sports. Cuttler Adams looks to be a back from a very small school with very large potential due to his speed and size. The Yale coaching staff should be saluted for being the first significant school to offer him after he attended the 7/1 football camp and staying on him after he received multiple other offers after his 2,000 yard senior season. It will be fun to watch how this sleeper prospect progresses.

Mark, Looking forward to seeing all these young men on the gridiron . It looks like Reno may have and extremely special class coming in this year.

This Houstonian and Old Blue is pumped up to see that Katy HS Tiger Colton Sanders is headed to New Haven. Katy is one of the truly elite programs in all of Texas HS football.
