Notes on the Win Over Fordham

The Bulldogs came out firing on all cylinders on Saturday in the 41-10 win over Fordham.  Rawlings completed his first fourteen passes and wound up 18/20 for 189 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT.  TE Jaeden Graham and WR Chris Williams-Lopez had fantastic performances.  Freshman Melvin Rouse was back in action and continues to add a new dimension to the offense.  Salter was the offensive MVP of the day with 118 yards and 3 TDs on the ground.  Dudek added 56 yards and two TDs.  The offensive line had its best performance of the year both pass blocking and run blocking.  Bezney did not play and Jett Sexton played well in his absence.

Fordham elected to play All-American RB Chase Edmonds although it was clear he was not fully healed.  This turned out to be a disastrous decision for Fordham as Edmonds was forced to leave the game due to his ankle injury and was not able to put any points on the board in the effort.  Copache Tyler and his fellow defensive linemen put on a clinic against the Rams’ offensive line.  CB Marquise Peggs left with an injury, but Jaelin Alburg and Malcolm Dixon were able to step up when needed.  Linebackers Micah Awodiran, Keefer Johnson and Jarret Balter added solid contributions in the fourth quarter.

Up Next: the 3-0 Big Green!

I watched the Dartmouth – Penn game. The green have a decent defense and run a lot of speedy misdirection offensive plays. Our defense will need to read and flow to the ball to slow them down. On offense long sustained drives would be favored to keep the green offense off the field. I like the fact we are playing away, the pressure is on the home team to perform.

Yale has DEPTH this year and so far has restrained the injury bug.
I believe Yale will keep the parade going. Two many weapons on offense and defense is solid and getting better.
Yale will prevail

No respect on Jakes Roar Lion2017 . Yales 3-0 but hasn’t played anyone good.really Jake..!! Wagner and Georgetown are monsters.!!! nor Bruce Woods , Big Green Alert.Yale is 3-0 against teams that are 1-12 amongst them.!! They’re will be retribution.!!! They must suffer.!! Ok I’m good now. Go Bulldogs.!!

Grinde is on the 2 (3) deep at RB, but not on the roster in the media release or on the website. What gives? Locke is no longer on the roster either.

Sorry for Locke. Unfortunate for him most of all. Is Grinde still on the team? Why is he listed on the depth chart? Arledge’s playing days are over due to 1 or more concussions, but he still appears on the roster.

Grinde just is no longer on the team. Still at Yale but has decided to quit football due to health concerns. We have to hope Salter and Dudek stay healthy.

Sounds like a replay of last season. Sorry to hear, but understand. Sort of like Varga’s experience and decision in the NFL. Vissman was a productive runner in the WPIAL when he was a junior. Injuries limited him in his senior year. Better start learning the RB plays. Anonymous, can you post this info on the comments for the Dartmouth game. Fans get no reliable information about the team from the coaches or the sports information office. I think they should know. Thanks.
