Saturday would have been the halfway point of the season and we would have all been complaining about how fast the season was going by.

Ray, I was just thinking the same thing. I have nothing. As soon as I do . I will put it on. I was wondering, about the YDN sports that they had 23 commits .? We have 18 noted. Commitments. I can’t find the other 5 possibly 7 others.

Hello guys, Jared Fel gave me a response to our question. It came from Jake Pelletier recruitment specialist. Yes they do have 23 confirmed commits. So far. But he was not able to divulge the names of the 5 players.
We should start to ask Jake.?

I’d be very interested to know what’s meant by a “confirmed” commit. Is it really a done deal with admissions, financial aid, etc etc?
Also, does the Athletic Department hold off releasing the names of those whose commitment smells wobbly?

Back in September we had 2 cases of Covid 19 . We are up to 114 with 12 On ventilators. We are starting to go back to where we were in April.

The Ivy Group of Presidents, in their wisdom, have ruled that no fall sport will be played this spring. At least that’s my understanding.

This would have been Princeton at Yale, Toy drive for the kids at Yale and SRC . The Food drive for the Food pantry . I try and watch games on TV , but no interest in them . Boy to be able to see Yale on the field playing a game.

Did you see that next week Yale will replay five Harvard games Tuesday through Saturday. The games from 1984, 1994, 2006, 2017, and 2019.

I’m looking forward especially to 2006. The others, except for 1994 are on YouTube already.

I’m really enjoying watching these game replays on Facebook. It captures the evolution of Yale football and football in general over a few decades. Plus Yale always wins!

I’m hoping they will add the 1981 Yale -Navy and 2014 Yale -Army games sometime soon.

Gentlemen; a replay of the 1956,1960 and 1981 contests would endear every dye in the wool blue’s heart.

YESTERDAY I REVIEWED BRYCE HALL AGAIN. TWO SOURCES NOTED THAT HE WEIGHED 265 LBS.

Watching the replay of the 1984 game against Harvard last night, my first thought was how great it was to hear Dick Galiette’s voice again.

Tomorrow I would be heading to Cambridge, to stay with cousins. I would have a great time catching up. Have great breakfast, pack a lunch, we would head over to the stadium. 20 minutes away. After head over to Salem to Pickering wharf. To Finz for seafood and Prime rib. I miss my cousins, alas I miss Yale Football

Today’s Houston Chronicle has Aaron Sessions ranked as 89 among the top 100?area recruits, and it reflects his commitment to Yale. The only other Ivy commits among the top 100 are Jacob Psyk, a DL at Strake Jesuit ranked number 88 and committed to Harvard, and Jake Peterson, a Penn commit out of a private school in the Woodlands who plays LB and is ranked 94.

Watched the replay of the 2006 Harvard game last night. As good as Klubnik and Shohfi were, and they were great, Chandler Henley was right there with them as a receiver. I’ll never forget the catch he made as time expired to send the 2003 Princeton game to OT and Yale to an eventual win.

It was also nice to see a happy Jack Siedlecki. There was a lot of pressure on Jack his last few years at Yale and it was good to see him with a smile on his face.

I’d say Harvard had a slight edge, based on returning players from last year, but now that Tony Reno has figured out how to beat Tim Murphy, it could have been anybody’s game. Now if he could only figure out how to beat Buddy Steevens…

Was great day to be able to watch a Yale Game today. In the low 60’s. That figures? Lost a die hard Yale Fan, started watching Yale games in the 30’s. To me that is amazing. Stanley, was a gentleman and just a great guy. I wish I was able to have met him sooner in my life. . I can’t help wondering how Yale vs Harvard would have turned out this year, with the players from each side returning. Any guesses?

It actually wasn’t that good, but it looked good compared to Cozza’s other teams in the 90’s. Also Tony’s teams have now spoiled us a bit.

The YDN reports that the 2021 Harvard game will be a Yale home game. I assume that means no schedule changes to account for the canceled 2020 season.

That was Yale’s 800th win SOE. I was in the stands for Yale’s 600th win against Lehigh in 1964 and the 700th against Cornell in 1979. It took a long time to get from 700 to 800 despite the increase to 10 games a year in 1980. It shows how great Cozza’s run from 1967-1981 was for Yale football.

I was at the 800th win and the 900th. I watched the 700th win (against Cornell ) on WTNH. I hope the replay that game someday soon. It was a miraculous comeback made possible by a Kenny Hill reception on a deflected pass which he broke for around 40 yards setting up the winning TD.

I remember that deflected pass very well. Yale actually played poorly that day and should have lost, but those Yale teams back then seemed to find a way even when not at their best.

Both stories you linked to were fun to read.

I see two things in UConn’s scheduling Yale. First, UConn must be having problems scheduling opponents for 2021 now that the Huskies are an independent with no fellow conference teams to fill out the bulk of the schedule. Second, I suspect UConn is not anticipating much of a season because a victory over Yale would not count towards bowl eligibility (absent an unlikely waiver from the NCAA). As an independent UConn would be challenged to get a bowl bid even with six other wins, considering the absence of any conference bowl ties.

Yes it would, but I believe he left so he wouldn’t be 2nd or 3rd fiddle. Yale is loaded at this position and others as well.

You never have too many running backs. Just in the last three years, Lamar, Dudek, and Deshawn Salter have all missed significant time.

Have we lost Derrick Lett, Recruiting Coordinator and Asst Head Coach (RB)? He’s not mentioned on the roster.
If so, that would be a huge recruiting loss and why weren’t we told and where did he go and who’s to replace him?

Tough loss for YALE This will not be the last Reno and other coaches will be gone if the price is right. Lett i think was the best running back coach Yale ever had.Kids will be lost with out him,This may snowball new RB recruits may leave other players will leave to..He was a great recruiter this will hurt Yale the most, We all know why this happen a virus did us in MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.

Coaches, leave all the time. It’s the nature of the business. Derrick was very approachable, cordial gentleman. The best to him and his family. At least he and Allan will find success together.

The best head coaches in the country regularly lose assistants.One of the reasons they are so successful is that they pick great people who sooner or later get offers they cannot refuse.

Playing UConn makes no sense to me. I saw the first game in 1948, when Yale, led by Levi Jackson, won 7-0, but UConn considered it a moral victory for them (Yale was highly favored). I followed the series every year we played, and they were almost always close games until UConn went big time and we got slaughtered. Now why play a team that does not play by Ivy League rules or anything close?

What gives with commits? Have Asselta’s and Lett’s departures croaked our recruiting?

Aaron Smith out of Iowa, is no slouch. Des Moines Times of the top 50 players. Smith was 19 out of 50 . He was upgraded from 29 to the 19th position . Tell me that kid has no stars is ridiculous. What is 247 deal. No credibility with that group.
This kid is a player. , he will make a difference between f he stays at Yale.
