Has any one heard of Christopher Renoit.? He’s Running back from St. Thomas Aquainus 5’8” 170 lbs says that he has committed to Yale. But not bonafide

Wait – that’s it? What about the awards named, since time immemorial, after Elis of yore / Elis who passed away tragically young? Did they just do away with those?

I think the awards listed here are “handed out” by the blog’s admin, not the football program. I think we’re all still in the dark regarding the official team awards.

Thanks for clarifying, voy vey, glad to hear it.

Dunno why yalebulldogs wouldn’t report on this as they always have. Apparent cuts in football writing aside, the program’s individual awards are a pretty big deal IMHO.

Could the moderator, please give and update of the status of which players ,will be coming back for the 2025 season.?
Also a list of the status of the current incoming recruits coming to Yale .?

Ezekiel Larry learned that: (a) you aren’t going to play on Sundays if you’ve ridden the pine on Saturdays, and (b) you’ll attract scouts if you’re an Ivy League star.
Then there’s that business about one degree v. another.
Let’s hope our best young players learn from Mr. Larry.

Interesting, but they shouldn’t have said top five players “of all time”, then put in small print “since 1982”.

Then again, it’s impossible to pick a top five over 150 years. Far too many great players.

Linemen , Greg Dubinetz I used to love watch pancake people.
As far as Running backs Dick Jaron, He had the fewest amount of carries of all of the running backs. But the one of the highest yards per carry. John Pagliaro, out of Derby. Picked his knees up so high , he broke jaws. When they tried to tackle him.

Yes, except that now, a perfect Yale football season is virtually impossible. Thus, I have no reason to live.

Just kidding. Pretty much. Happy Holidays!

I wonder his the transfer portal will effect the Ivy League in the FCS playoffs. Will transferring players still play?

Gentlemen; although my recollection is sometimes foggy at best, I do think the last perfect record was our 1960 squad excluding ties.

Very true Old Blue. But I do think the 1967 team was the last to go 7-0 in the Ivy League. The only loss that year was the opener to Holy Cross.

Dowling reached legendary status while basically only playing a season and a half. Imagine if he had been injury free for three full years.

Huge win! Nice to see the big crowd too. BU’s All time record is now 33-32-3 vs Yale. Great rivalry. Hope it continues next season.

I’ve been looking under rocks and I can’t FIND ANY INFORMATION ON YALE FOOTBALL COMMITS AT ALL. I’ve attempted several times to compile a list and at the end .I am unable to submit it for unknown reasons sorry about that guys, but I’ve had my feel of trying to do this. Could the moderator please do this for us?

If you follow Tony Reno on Twitter, he posts all the commitments. You just have to go back to June when they started coming in.

Here’s a great new one,

Alvin Gulley deserves significant recognition for his performance this year. While his traditional stats—18 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and one sack—might not stand out, his impact as a nose tackle was exceptional. This is a position where great play often enables teammates to make plays and rack up stats, leaving the nose tackle’s contributions largely uncredited.

Gulley’s ability to disrupt opposing offenses was remarkable. Though officially credited with just two quarterback pressures and four pass deflections, these numbers seem to underrepresent his true impact based on in-game observations. His presence and effectiveness were evident throughout the season.

Over the past three years, Gulley has been a consistent and reliable player in a role where great performance can go unnoticed but poor performance is glaringly obvious. Next year, he’ll return to his home state of Illinois to play for Northern Illinois University (of Notre Dame upset fame). We wish him all the best in the next chapter of his career.

Alvin is truly a great young man as well. I always enjoyed chatting with him. He would work the Lacrosse games.
Alvin, all the best to you . I’ll be following in the MAC. Maybe I’ll go to Amherst to watch ya.

Enjoying looking at all of these hudl tapes. This is going to be a very special talented team. Possible Dynasty in the near future. Especially with a couple of more people .

Great tape! A big, athletic talent from Canada joins the growing list of international Bulldogs at Yale with roots in NEPSAC high schools. Recent examples include Luke Foster (Canada, Choate), Adam Raine (England, Berkshire), and Dieter Eiselen (South Africa, Choate). Lukas Witt (Germany, Cheshire) also fit this profile but only appeared on the 2023 roster. Does anyone know what happened to Witt? Presumably, he faced challenges and left the team.

Impressive. Let’s hope Djeumeni can successfully translate his high school success to the college level. On paper, he appears to have all the tools to make an impact. Having Pitsenberger leading the running back room next year will undoubtedly be an invaluable asset to Djeumeni’s development at Yale.
