Yale 45 Morgan State 3

That’s what I call a response! Still a challenging road ahead but this team is made of tough stuff. Bring on the gauntlet!

I was concerned when I looked in the 2nd quarter and it was 3-3. We ended up winning by more points than in the program-redeeming 1984 41-0 win over Morgan State.

Guys do not take to much stock in this game today. Morgen State is not a very good team,. The real test is next Sat with Dartmouth. GO BLUE.

Blue Boy, anything that was done today is a good sign. This is a good shot in the arm. Come on man

Nice bounce back win today. I like the way Yale finally let it loose and took what the Defense was giving them. Also Yale was much more aggressive on defense which resulted in more sacks and turnovers. Walt is right that Dartmouth will be a much tougher opponent. Still, one couldn’t have asked for anything more out of Yale today.

Reports are that Dartmouth’s best passing QB, Dylan Cadwallader, was injured today. Don’t know if he’ll be playing next week.

Yale has had plenty of trouble with Howard in the past. Not sure that will be an advantage.

Harvard up on HC 35-21 in the 3rd

The way Harvard played and beat HC it looks like Murphy has the real Team 150! We can only pray for a huge upset in The Game

It must have been a bit sad for Calvin Hill yesterday to see how far Yale attendance has fallen over the years.

Yes those were my thoughts about Calvin too. It’s also a shame the halftime ceremony honoring Levi Jackson was in a nearly empty Bowl. In different decades these two great players brought in huge crowds to attend Yale games.

Gentlemen; our squad look much better today. The offensive play calling was excellent hopefully will extend into next week. It appears numbers 7 and 10 may not be playing for a while. Defense looks much better especially the linebacking core.

42 years ago this Tuesday (10/3/81) – Yale beat Navy in the Bowl
43 years ago this Wednesday (10/4/80) – Yale beat Air Force in the Bowl

Good times…

How this program has fallen in this time period. Maybe lacking in ambition foresight . From this administration.
In the coming years , the football games should be located to Hamden High School Football Field . They hold 12,000

I doubt the other Ivy schools have better attendance for home games. (Well – maybe Dartmouth and Cornell, since there’s no major sporting events in those areas.)
Anyone have numbers on that?

With NIK and the transfer portal, other storied programs will find themselves “relegated”to an FCS existence. Yale relegatdf itself back in the 80s when it was one of handful of Ivy League schools with 40,00 seat stadiums, but chose relegation anyway

Ron is a senior producer for NBC Sports. Him and Jack Sidlecki were a great team. They were not homers at all . Like most of the teams are totally one sided. But these guys are missed. I don’t like Jack Sidlecki’s side kick.

We can go back and watch the 2019 comeback against Harvard any time we want. That’s a great thing. But I always wanted to hear Ron’s and Jack’s radio call of that game. I assume Yale has it. It would be nice if Yale made things like that, and other big game radio broadcasts available.

I remember when the Yale athletics website was fairly new they had some radio clips available with the game recap. One I remember was Dick Galliette’s call of Chandler Henley’s last play of regulation spectacular TD reception to tie Princeton in a game Yale won in double OT. It lasted on the site for a few years then disappeared.

Torrential rain forecasted for New Hampshire on Saturday. it’s a Dartmouth Defense against Yale’s offense.
The weathers suits Dartmouth better for this day. They also have a decent running game. As Yale is suspect in that department at this point.

Why not use Wande Owens and ABU KARAMA, to spell relief. Alston looks lost and Denny is not answer either.
Owens is the 2nd leading rusher in Maryland high school history. Karama is no slouch either
