So we lost Ron Carr. OL from Ohio.?
Yes. He’s committed to Duke I believe.
Good Looking class so far ! I have no idea why running backs continue to commit as we seem to have an extremely deep roster at that position. We desperately need a couple D Tackles to finish out the class as well.
gentlemen; regrettably, the current list of recruits does not include any defensive lineman or stout middle linebackers which our blue squad is in desperate need. in an earlier inquiry I posed the question are there any lineman on the offense of side of the ball currently on the squad who could be converted to the defense of interior line. hopefully, the remaining nine or ten slots will fill this need.
Nick Gargiulo could play defensive tackle if asked. He played that position in High School.
What is the outlook at PK and punter for 2019?
Would not be surprised to see a yale coach leave for brown Brown is going to open the bank to get new coaches .Perry is installing a high speed offense and new defense plays . Wish him luck.
I think they would go to a higher profile job. Brown doesn’t pay as much as Yale.
Has any one notice yale is being out recruited in the league in football. Where are the lineman on both sides of the line. No more running backs or WR or DB we need big LB and lineman . How about one or two QB who can run the wildcat too, My CHRISTMAS WISH,
Jailon Henry, DT, DE, 6’2”, 220 lbs. Lincoln High School, Tallahassee, Fl.
So d i ormation on Yale’s latest recruit Dushanbe Holloway. Four FBS and numerous Ivy League offers. I predict he’ll end up at Safety for Yale. He would need 20-30 more pounds to play linebacker.

Puuhleeze, Santa, bring us some bruisers. This isn’t sprint football.
Jesse Polanski’s recruitment is still open. He’s a 6’3” 305lbs DT. Yale has offered him, along with Michigan, Cornell and Fordham. His commitment to Yale is what I want most for Christmas.

Don’t worry….the staff is anticipating the Ivy League President’s decision to adopt 7-man modified flag football by 2020. Receivers, defensive backs, and athletes are all you need.
It was great to see physical Army crush spread offense Houston yesterday in a record setting way.
Patrick Nauert is transferring to Yale from Air Force. Not a big bruiser but should help on the edge.
Nauert is very strong. Wouldn’t be surprised if Yale moved him to DT.

Any coaches leaving? Any coaching changes in assignment?
A Yale classmate recently asked me how I would describe the Yale football program under the seven years of Coach Reno. What immediately came to mind was, “When they are good, they are very very good, but when they are bad, they are just awful.” Fair enough?
WANDE OWENS , RB , GLENELG H.S. , WAS CHOSEN BY USA TODAY AS THE MARYLAND OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR . HE RUSHED FOR 2,680 YDS AND SCORED 40 TDS. HE AVERAGED @ 9 YDS. PER CARRY.
ALSO, JOEY FELTON , WR , LINGANORE H.S., WAS PLACED ON THE SECOND TEAM OFFENSIVELY .
Owens said he was going to play Defensive Back for Yale. I think Yale needs to reconsider that and keep him at running back.

Starting around the 17 minute mark he talks about his recruitment, his relationships with coaches and teammates and his foot injury.

What a great interview and interviewee! Zane Dudek distinguishes himself and should make us all proud that he came to Yale! I look forward to his junior year, and I am 100% certain that he will perform at the highest level that he is able. What an inspiration for Yale football players current and future. Anyone from WPA will appreciate his comments about the competion from McKeesport HS -everyone’s rival – (and should remember Clairton HS, I think recently 60-0, as well! Good for Zane and can we get more football playing scholars striving to be like him from WPA soon?
I agree – a terrific interview! I wonder, though, about his comment that the coaches make practices such fun. Maybe a little less fun might improve Yale’s tackling.
Come on where’s the Beef.? Where are the commits….!!
Ray:
Any news? There aren’t many places left. They better be filled with heavyweights.

The fact is recruiting news will be scarce until the formal matriculation letters come in from the incoming class. The name of the game now is holding on to the early commits as FBS schools and others try to fill out their classes at the February signing date. Remember we lost a couple of highly rated guys last year at the end.
Certainly the staff is still hard at work on a handful of guys who haven’t made up their minds
To me the biggest issue is straightening out the defensive personnel and philosophy. Second issue is the continued improvement and stability of the offensive line. Third is not to lose any good assistants as the coaching carousel speeds up…..there are many head coaches on the move and this impacts 100’s of assistants. Finally, how do we spread the ball in an unpredictable way among all the talented skill players on offense?
This is a very important year for the program as the talent is present in depth.
If Cahill is still in charge of the offense nothing will change. All the offense talent will be wasted,Give all this talent to another team they would win the ivy league.
What is so wrong about Cahill? The offense was the strength of last year’s team! Except for one game, when we had a rookie third string QB, we put a lot of points. It was the defense that cost us games!!
gentlemen; as I confront another chilly day in the nutmeg state in preparation for my daily constitutional jaunt I am also contemplating the marvels of technology which now allow for the review of our blue squad past performance this year. in my humble opinion upon review our offense performed admirably this year although admittedly there could be more deception implemented in the offense. for example, a double screen with our two racehorse halfbacks on the field. this example was plagiarized from the sooner playbook. regarding are blue nightmarish defense the fundamentals of tackling have to be emphasize this spring due to excessive arm tackling which resulted in more missed tackles than opposing halfbacks landing on the turf. i agree with the assessment of the moderator regarding our defensive backfield with the exception number 21 played well until toward the end of the season where it appeared he was not playing at 100% due to an injury. our blue linebackers and safeties have to have the ability to consistently make tackles near the line of scrimmage in order for our next year squad to have any chance at a successful season.
See Twyford’s new 81 rating (from nothing) on 247, for whatever those ratings mean. Meanwhile, H got commitments from two very good players from SoCal, who were “warm” toward Yale (and other IL teams).
Meant to say Princeton, not Harvard, for 2 recent commits
from California.
