What a huge ending to a huge season! Congratulations to Tony and all his coaches, and especially to the seniors who were determined to make this season special. This is arguably one of Yale’s best teams!
The defense dominated today. Congrats to all the great players on this team.
This is Yale’s second 9-1 season in the last 20 years where the only loss was by 1 point.
The 1999 team went 9-1, lost the opener to Brown (remember Yale blocked Brown’s tying XP and it bounced right to a Brown player who ran it in for two points) then swept the remaining games.
I’m glad Carm is here to see this and hope he was at the Bowl today.
The spirits of Walter, Pudge, Albie, Clint and Larry are very happy today.
Special team, special season, special finale.
Bow wow wow!!
(bulldog10jw – “thanks” for the reminder of another “perfect season that might have been,” that I had forgotten about…)
Congratulations on a very special season. To the whole team and Staff. To coaches awesome job . Thank very much
Fantastic ending for Team 145! A special season that will sit foundly in my heart.
Can’t wait to see Team 146 start its defense of Team 145 Undisputed Ivy Championship!
Go Bulldogs and congratulations to all
When tonight’s festivities end, let’s turn our eyes to Team 146. As I see it, next year’s senior class will be so-so. The juniors will be superb, and this year’s freshmen look promising. Any word on returning fifth years or the class of ’22? Yesterday’s result should help with ’22.
Yah haven’t heard anything on the commitment front in a long time.?
A physically dominating performance and the outcome was never in doubt.
The joy of the players and the students on the field after was special.
On the downside, the condition of the field was a disgrace. Several players told me after the game it was the worst they ever played on and dangerous. Yale was not prepared at the gates AGAIN and people could not get in without a long wait…….very poor planning.
Where are you Ray? How’s your family’s health. We miss hearing from you, and would welcome any info you have about recruits. Happy Holidays.
Congrats to Kyle Mullin team captain for Team 146. #ITO

CURIOSITY:
BRETT GERBER, LB, 6′ 4″, 220 LBS. MANATEE H.S., FL. IS HE STILL A COMMIT ?
Ray:
That’s just terrible about your wife. I sensed something was amiss and am so sorry. Here’s hoping you right your ship sooner rather than later. If you have kids they’ll be counting on you and supporting you. All the best.
247 Sports lists seven players on its website (247sports.com) as Yale 2018 football commits.
Looking back 4 years, 247 ratings are kind of hit and miss. Some All Ivy, some barely played (playing). A lot of under the radar guys have been very successful for Yale (e.g., Oplinger). Every year will be an adventure as the talent is discovered and developed. Good luck to Coach Reno and his staff!
Sorry to hear of your wife’s passing Ray. You still have your Yale Football Family. See you at the spring Blue-White game.
