Post game comments by the Richmond HC. Not complimentary at all about Yale. He is down right pissed.
You can find it on you tube , the Richmond Football site
Great game by the boys..

I always said that through the years Yale lost more games they should have won, rather than won games they should have lost.

Thanks to their playmakers, Rawlings, Shohfi, and Klubnik, and a defense that stepped it up in the third and fourth quarters, Yale stole one.

“Yale lost more games they should have won, rather than won games they should have lost” — well said! I think that comes with high expectations. You always assume any win is expected, but a loss is often a “win gone wrong.”

Along the same lines, regarding the comment “His team didn’t ‘give’ the game away. Yale took it away.” When you dominate an opponent for 58.5 minutes and lose, I think it’s easy to perceive that you gave the game away. Let’s face it – we would all feel the same way if the roles were reversed.
Agreed that the Richmond coach could have given a bit more of a tip of the hat to Yale, but I think his comments were excusable, given the circumstances.
After all, how much “credit is due” to Yale for colossally stinking up the joint against an underdog opponent for 58.5 minutes?!

When you come back from three touchdowns behind midway through the third period on the road a week after a mentally and physically brutal ass-kicking, when you HAVE been thoroughly dominated and, by the coach’s own admission, flattened an opposing quarterback “25 times” but he STILL gets off the canvas to beat you in the last second, yeah, somebody deserves some credit, and only a boorish sore loser would deny them some. Yale really had no business being such a large favorite in the first place, but they deserve credit for persevering for the win. Don’t understand why so many people are taking exception to that notion.

His team didn’t “give” the game away. Yale took it away. He should, however grudgingly, at least a little credit where credit is due.

Made the trip from Connecticut to Richmond to see this game and it turned out to be one of the best games I’ve ever seen. Richmond’s stadium is beautiful. There’s a terrific game day atmosphere and the fans are very knowledgeable and passionate. It all added up for a memory that will last a lifetime.

Great game by Yale. Not going to win our up coming games rushing for 67 yard .The offense line is terrible this is not the line we were all told would be the best in the league. It all comes down to play calling run the same plays same results. How about the second and third offense units playing in the games they cannot do any worse than the starting line.Son of SAM how was the food at the game i hope the hot dogs where good the ones at yale taste like hard soap in a stale bun.Was down watching Sacred Heart football they have it all over Yale just a great place to watch football the best is no armed guards the food is average but the beer is flowing nice bunch of people good football to. Good luck Yale next weekend.

Food was great at Richmond. Had two servings from the barbecue vendor.

Agree that Yale needs to figure out the running game. They won’t win many games with 67 yards in rushing.

Saw my first Yale fb game in 1951 and many since then. Based on comments here and elsewhere, I may have made made my last trip to the Bowl. Being a Bulldog fb fan has become heavy lifting too often for me. Can I do without it? I bleed blue. I dislike the new yalebulldogs website. This blog has failed to be useful or fun. Reno is not up to the job title he has. I am blue and fading.

I would think that with both Lamar and Dudek playing, the run game would be a tremendous strength. What has happened? Lucky to win this one, but seniors made it happen!
