April 1st Updates

We are off and running with spring practices with three down and three more to go this week (the 2nd, 4th and 6th). Dogs of the Day so far have been Charles Callender, Rodney Thomas and Patrick Conte. It sounds like the defense is playing with a chip on its shoulder this offseason!

Yale Men’s Lacrosse fell to Penn 13-12 in OT on Saturday. All remaining ECAC teams in the NCAA Hockey Tournament were eliminated.

Here are the top opposing Ivy football squads heading into 2019:

Dartmouth-The top defenders from the top defense are returning. With any semblance of an offensive line, they will be a force to be reckoned with come mid-season.

Harvard-Harvard has the cupboard full of talent and continues to win recruiting wars. It’s only a matter of time before the sleeping giant awakens.

Princeton-Losing two of the best offensive and defensive players in the league will hurt Princeton more than they realize, yet they have the top young talent in the league waiting in the wings as well as proven talent at the offensive line and running back spots.

Columbia-Bagnoli has changed the culture and the losing attitude at Columbia, but the team does not have enough pieces in place to make a run for the title just yet.

Penn-With the rise of Columbia, Penn seems to have lost some of its swagger. Priore is not winning recruiting battles like he used to and the offensive production has been lackluster.

Cornell-Cornell has the ability to surprise any Ivy foe (such as Harvard) on any given Saturday. The loss of Dalton Banks coupled with inferior coaching will lead the Big Red to a losing record in the Ivy League.

Brown-Brown is in a rebuilding phase after the departure of Phil Estes, but they would enjoy nothing more than knocking off the Elis in Week 8.

Harvard will always win the recruiting wars they just do all the time. Now its in all sports. No one will be able to stay with them from now on.Move over ever one there a new boss in town.

Harvard has a rectal cranium inversion. Much like you do also sir.!! Harvard Sucks.!!!

gentlemen; it has come this come to my attention mr. fraser a defensive lineman who played with enthusiasm in his freshman year appears to be no longer with the squad.

You are right! A DL who prepped at Choate and played well freshman year, then saw diminishing action. Now gone? Good luck with getting any information about him! What do you all think about the AD silence on all players who for whatever reason “disappear?”

You have to remember that these players are not receiving scholarships. Playing YFB is difficult and often times not rewarding in the immediate term. It should be no surprise that some young men take the easy way out and pursue other interests. There is by no means anything shady occurring here that warrants outside investigation or even acknowledgment from the AD.

Didn’t Yale rank second (to Princeton) this year and Harvard sixth among recruits for this year’s freshmen admits?

Anybody attending practice or talking to coaches know if Dudek is full go in spring practices? Rawlings?

Yale Football posted a video on Twitter that showed #6 throwing the ball at practice with a red shirt on. Not running, just throwing.

We would like to but its the same old thing. You see one practice the same thing the next day.It would be nice if the coaches would come over and say hi every once in a while but that never happens either. Give us something to talk about a new running play something to keep us going out there.Coaches remember we are fans we support the team. Come over and say hi some time the end.

Takes a lot of effort to go see them. It would be nice to get updates or feel included. One of the reasons I don’t go anymore.

I ATTENDED THE PRACTICE THIS A.M. THE OFFENSE PERFORMED WELL IN GAME SITUATIONS WITH REFEREES . ELLIOTT McELWAIN RAN VERY HARD BREAKING LOOSE FROM A DEFENDER AND SCORING A TD . ALAN LAMAR ON THE FIRST PLAY FROM SCRIMMAGE
RAN UP THE MIDDLE AND OUT RAN THE DEFENSE FOR @ 50 YD TD. KURT RAWLINGS WAS ON THE MARK –THROWING TWO PASSES TDS, CADEN HERRING MADE SOME EXCELLENT CATCHES.
THE OL WAS MOSTLY EFFICIENT IN THEIR BLOCKING AND OPENING SOME HOLES.

gentlemen; it would be of interest as to who are the front runners and their positions on the offensive and defensive lines.

gentlemen; the run up the middle against our defense is regrettably becoming a familiar pattern of ineptness. is their any run stoppers currently on the roster.

Which is it? The O line opening big holes, or the defense unable to stop the run?

From what I have heard the D was missing a lot of guys. Anybody know of any transfers or injuries going on
