Great signature win for the Yale Bulldogs! Loved seeing the tight ends being incorporated into the offense and making huge plays. Defense still needs to Finish and wrap opposing players up. Should be a great experience for the younger players coming into our Ivy league schedule.
Hats off to Kurt Rawlings good but not great game expecting a lot more from this team down the road.
Dartmouth Up Next at the bowl Friday night let’s show him who we are and what we have! Great game YALE !!!!!!!

Rawlings, Shohfi, and Klubnik were outstanding.

I think Maine got half their yardage on the two long TD plays, but overall the D was solid and despite the long scoring plays got better as the game went on.

Good game from yale . Hats off to the defense. I still cannot understand some of the play calling. I said on this board thursday all yale needed is one play to help the offense. By god Rawlings was under pressure avery time he drop back. You know how you beat that coach Cahill screens thats all you have to do screens to the left or right middle screens WR screens . Coach Cahill help the team not hinder the team.

gentlemen; in my minds eye take away the mr. yapremiumisque flutter mr. rawlings distinguished himself well with tosses down the field to a superb tandem of the same class. the defense played well take away two lapses and a failure to tackle in the open field. all in all best team effort so far this year. the indians next week will be another story.

I heard more garbage talk by the Maine followers. In how the Black Bears were gonna finally get their win against the lowly ELI’s .
Well guess what you got smacked in the face. Next D’mouth in the glass jaw.!!

Who would have guessed? With the two best runners sidelined and Maine being particularly strong against the run, the score would be expected to the reverse!

What was the attendance yesterday? From the pictures on the Athletic website it looked like the Bowl was practically empty on such a beautiful Day!

People seem to forget the Yale Bowl seats over 61,000. 7,889 leaves a lot of empty seats. Regardless, it was a dissapointing crowd. If the weather is good on Friday helpfully they can draw at least 10,000. All the empty seats on national tv doesn’t make the program look good.

1st of all The Bangor Times has the game at the beautiful Reese Stadium with 0 attendees.?? Thank you ESPN you suck. Can’t even get replays on it.?
No way was that 8000 people. I’ve been going to these games for over 50 years. I would guesstimate 2,500 to 4,000 .? More likely something in the middle.

I think its time we give our other running backs a touch of action. If Lamar and Dudek are not playing friday they should play. Purvey looked good when he has played. The other backs should get some reps to. Alston took a beating saturday andCharles is to light to face that punishment . Also Conte and Jimmy Check to.

Look for Garrett White to have a break out game against Dartmouth. He just missed having two TD catches by inches last Saturday. He was open both times but passes were just slightly out of reach.

It seems the question that still needs to be asked is why Reno’s teams have (except for last season) have so many players who get injured. Is it just bad luck or is it something else like bad decisions by the coaching staff. For example, why is Reno using a star receiver like Shofi on special teams when Yale punts. It makes sense to use him as the punt returner (which he is) but to also have him run down the field to defend against the punt return risks is extremely unwise. Is there no one else the coaching staff can use for this role except Shofi?

The injury situation is getting ridiculous. However, glad to see the penalties being reduced. Now if we can only stop those long pass touchdowns.

O Line also needs to tighten up so Rawlings can have enough time to get the ball down field to our talented receiving corps. Had they given him enough time I believe he would’ve been able to connect with Garrett for two more touchdowns. That’s what I meant when I said add salt to Rawlings good but not great game. Nothing against Rawlings all on O Line

As I mentioned earlier it was one of the toughest/best Dlines that Yale has faced in awhile. Couple that with the big (NFL-caliber) LBs that everyone was talking about…..I think they did well against the #16 ranked FCS team. Hell I thought it was going to be a shut out, except for the blown assignment(pass) and the run (with many missed tackles) TD

Agree with you hawk I just feel these guys can dominate anyone if they put their minds and hearts into it.
Defense has been good so far however still prone to getting up the big play which just drives me nuts. Once they learn to finish the play I believe will be in every single game from here on out this year
