Christian Sampleton, DE and D. Major Roman, TE were each named “Dog of the Day” at yesterday’s practice.
I see that the last 2 scrimmages (Brown 9/1 & TBD) are “closed to the public”….what gives?
Has anyone been following the conversation on the Ivy League Sports Board that is arguing about whether or not Captain Kyle Mullen is on the team (!) this year? Has anyone been to a practice and has # 98 been seen? This should be verifiable by our moderator or by someone else with first hand knowledge.

Like they got in front of the Mikai Mason situation? I think they will stonewall again. The Yale Daily News broke that story before it went national. If there’s something to this story information will likely come from their investigative reporting. I hope for Mullen’s sake there is a benign explanation. My guess is we’ll never know unless it explodes into a big story.

Guys will this hurt recruiting ? Where almost at the end. Coach Reno better come clean about this now. Or we could lose recruits to other teams in the next few weeks.
I can’t see how this would effect recruiting.? Feel sorry for the kid, we all do something stupid. Hopefully this won’t hurt his career.
Recruiting continues right up until those matriculation letters come back. We lost two very good ones near the end who were early commits.
Our record and late FBS full rides can change the recruiting class. So can bad press used against us by other schools.
That’s always been the case . Coach Cozza used to say, “when I see them on campus, I know that I have them.” Bad press .? Ok , if the kid wants to be at Yale . He will be at Yale.
Totally in the dark on this story…can anyone elaborate?
Remember the last time we lost the captain before the season – a disastrous season! Yale has a much stronger team this year, but the successes of 144 (beating Harvard) and 145 were due significantly to the leadership of the captains.
MAYBE NICK CROWLE WILL ASSUME THE LEADERSHIP ROLE ?
That’s one thing this team has is leadership. 2012 is your Apple . 2018 is your orange. Team will be fine without Mr. Mullen.
