Yale Wins 56-28

Certainly can’t find fault with the offense. Rawlings played like a veteran, the receivers and running backs were great. The offense looked as unstoppable as the Roberts/Varga offense.

Defense played well. Would like to see the long TD passes defended better, long pass plays have been a thorn in our side the last several years, but overall a good defensive performance.

A new tradition started today which I like a lit. The captain, Spencer Rymiszewski, led the team out if the tunnel carrying a Yale 145 flag. The Yale Bulldog logo was on the other side of the flag. He then planted the flag on the 50. It was pretty cool and it got the fans and players riled up.

Very impressive performance at Bethlehem yesterday. Only concern is that Rawlings carried the ball nine times. If he continues running at that rate, he is likely to be injured.

The Dudek kid is a stud!!! I’m calling it now, he will be the leading rusher in Ivy League! A 130 yards in 9 carries…what would he do with 20 carries? He had the most prolific year in western PA history as a high school senior!

Blocking and tackling were impressive. Recent teams seemed to lack both. A little rough at times, which caused those penalties, but the spirit is something we haven’t seen in quite some time.
