Yale fans are still eagerly waiting to see the official recruiting list released from the athletic department. We have already lost Demani Hansford to Air Force (thanks for the info, Ray) and perhaps there will be a few recruits headed to Choate for a post-grad year, but why not release the list earlier? If it’s an attempt to mitigate pain from any lost recruits, the delay only leads to more speculation. The Reno era continues to be shrouded in mystery for now.

Don’t know exactly what to say. But I agree with RP that it doesn’t sound like good news. Why would one hide one’s recruiting class from fans, potential recruits, and (yes) potential donors unless you had something you thought you should hide? I suspect that the class will have a lot of the “touted” recruits. But I can certainly identify with the frustration of all of you local fans who support the program by actually attending games! I hope that you continue with your interest and support, although under the current circumstances, it is a big ask.
I’m taking the position that the delay is caused by the fact that we’re scooping up high-profile transfers and multi-starred recruits who, having seen the error of their ways, are decommitting from less illustrious programs and buying tickets to New Haven.

Alas, I have no inside info and no sources. Ray is the only one of us who unearths the occasional nugget. What we need are some experienced back channel types.

When there is no news when there should be, it brings out the worst kind of speculation. Could it be that the list of commitments is now so short of thirty that the coaches are embarrassed to put it out? Where is Tom Beckett on this?
My son is part of this recruiting class and it is pretty much intact from what he is telling me. They were asked a couple of weeks ago to confirm everything in their bio’s so it should be coming out soon ? The class already seems to have a tight bond thru social media and they are really excited to get up to New Haven next month.
Hope they all have a great college experience.
