Looking towards the Future

Spencer Rymiszewski was elected Captain for the 2017 squad after missing all of 2016 recovering from double shoulder surgery.  Rymiszewski was a 1st Team All-Ivy performer in 2015 and the secondary welcomes him back with open arms.

Thank you both! We’re up to 17 now and have some big recruiting weekends ahead of us.

YALE FANS ! GUESS WHO WAS THE PATRIOT LEAGUE FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR ? HE PLAYS FOR COLGATE.

YALE RECRUIT:
MICHAEL PURVEY, RB, 5 ‘ 10 “, 190 LBS. STRAKE JESUIT H.S., HOUSTON, TX.

Many thanks, Ray. I hope Thomas Vissman is given a look at RB. From his tapes it’s obvious he’s powerful and it looks as though he may have some speed.

Melvin Rousse, CB, 5-9, 170lbs, Charlotte, NC. Had an offer from Duke. Rated by 247 Sports as two stars.

Rouse looks like a good pickup to boost the perennially ailing secondary. Is it just me or do we always seem lacking on big linemen every year? Some big Offensive and Defensive guys up front can do wonders for a team.

Not sure about the Dline but they have 3 Offensive Lineman committed who all have a chance of playing early. Also have heard they have a 4th that should be made public soon and he fits the bill as well. Another Defensive End with an impressive offer sheet is also in the fold but is holding off on announcing. Have not heard anything on run stoppers.

Zane Dudek, RB, 5’10”, Kittenning, PA. 2 stars. Offers from Army, Air Force Brown, Bucknell, Columbia, Harvard, Kent St, Penn and Princeton amongst others.

Can we add Tyler Jost to our list of recruits? Also, any way to confirm (or not) Michael Purvey’s commitment to Yale? It is on his Twitter account, but not by 247.
