Thank you to the Yale coaching staff fior putting together another promising class of recruits. I look forward to seeing them excel in the years ahead.

Quincy Briggs , committed to USMA in June. I’ll be looking forward to watching him develop.

Thanks Ray. He’ll be even more impactful with an extra year’s playing experience under his belt. Hope to see him on Yale’s incoming class list next year.

YALE COMMIT:

PHOENIX GRANT, Q.B., ( S ), 6 ‘ 2 “, 4.62 40 YD DASH, SHERMAN H.S., SHERMAN, TX.

Are we still not going to be able to listen to the games on the radio? Is this another brilliant Vicki idea to ignore the community?

Irrelevant, is the new theme. It’s all down hill for now on. You might as we’ll schedule Trinity, Bowdoin and Middlebury

Start time for the game at Holy Cross has been set for 2:00. Let’s have a good turnout to support the bulldogs in the road!

HC kickoff at 2:00 – what a great concept: giving people time to tailgate before the game, rather than forcing them to wrap up “brunch” by 11:30 in order to make kickoff.

Totally agree Voy Vey. Yale should have 2:00 start times. It would allow more families with kids in youth sports to go. It would also boost student attendance. Permanent lighting would allow them to do it all season.

How about those condemned to drive home after dark with the Saturday night drunks?

A stirring Josh Hawley-like call to arms. While we’re at it, let’s schedule Georgia. Our mascots can have it out at halftime.

Gentlemen; There was a time back in the day not too distant past when kickoffs at the bowl were 2pm or 130. Future is all about change time to go back to the successful past.

I remember those days Old Blue. Of course that was before interminable TV timeouts and overtime.

Stipulated: 2:oo p.m. does not to equate to a massacre by U of GA. However, what links the matters is a gentleman who, a few years ago, was a keen advocate of this contest.

BTW, what would have happened on 11/23/19 had we started at 2:00 p.m.?

It’s true I would have liked to see Yale play Georgia in 2029 to mark the 100th anniversary of the opening of Sanford Stadium. George was interested in scheduling the game and made overtures to Yale about it. Unfortunately, a date could not be agreed upon. Read about it here:

As for what would have happened in 2019 with a 2:00 start for the Harvard game, they would have had lights so that would have solved the problem that nearly caused Yale an Ivy Championship.

Lux et Veritas!

When Coach Reno was in Houston a few weeks ago to dine with Yale FB supporters, I asked him about the possibility of a game vs UGA in 2029. He said there was no prospect for such a game because Yale would be physically overmatched.
When Tony was in Houston 3 years ago, I raised this same possibility. He said it was real and discussions with Athena were afoot.

Whatever the explanation, the initial enthusiasm for a game against Georgia in 2029 have dissipated. It’s totally off.

I really don’t have much more to say re commits for YALE football. I spend much time searing different venues to ascertain info. re commits . But I only found five . If there are more, then maybe the Yale football staff could reveal them.

The idea of playing GA ranks up there with the notion of defunding the police. Such a game would have best been scheduled post Harvard so as to allow ample time for physical and psychological healing.

It goes w/o saying that artificial illumination can make up for the absence of natural light, but who can tell what would have happened in 2019.

LUX ET VERITAS indeed!

Your January 6th, Georgia game, Josh Hawley and now “defund the police” assertions are all straw man arguments

Your “ psychological healing” assertion is 😂

For those who missed it interview started around 7:05. Interview was on 560 Sports WQAM out of Miami.

Such fun you’re still trying.
One comment addresses blowhards, the other, fools.
Stick to emojis.

Any updates on anything Yale Football related. New commits, Vicky’s fashions for upcoming games.?!! Anything

If only our games were against such easy opponents. Don’t you recognize you’re out of your league? That said, hooray for your laughable efforts. Gotta turn to more challenging matters. Keep swinging.
Go Eli.

Yes, it was a good laugh refuting your ridiculous arguments. Must be time for your nap now.

Can we please discuss Yale Football on this site? How about position players for the upcoming season? New recruits for this year? Commitments for next year? Thanks, I would appreciate it.

Well, The College Football Network has 7 Yale Football players on its preseason first team

Alston
Howland
Amegadgie
Gargiulo
Patterson
Owens
Oldacre

We need the moderators to ban clowns like DS. That being said, Yale official publicity in support of football is almost non existent. I know what I am talking about been a fan since the 1960’s.

Look here it is JIMD, No WELI, No New Haven Register, spotty at best. Reno doing an interview in Miami. That’s great. Because after all that’s your fan base..? This program this University is so out of touch with its community. You will see the lowest amount of attendance. Yale is done, it didn’t have to be. But this is what happens when you blatantly turn your back on the generations that has supported Yale. NO MORE.

New commit. Brandon Webster, 6’2”, 182lbs, DB/WR. St Ignatius High School, Cleveland, OH. .

Hasn’t Howland graduated? Thought he signed a pro contract. Agree totally that Yale Athletics has done everything they could to alienate the local community fan base. Very sad.

It is sad., they didn’t have to do anything at all. It was a turn key smooth operation. The less than great minds.Totally screwed it up. It was a hard sell before. But in they are Hell bent. On the undergraduates, alumni carrying the load. IT WON’T HAPPEN, it never has it’s always been a culture of Townies that supported these teams.
People , go to these games to get away from stress and their problems. They don’t want to be bothered by more ridiculousness.!! That is just what The Yale athletic department did and it’s board members. Asinine .!!!

Yes, Howland was a senior last year. His selection to this year’s A Team casts doubt on the seriousness of the whole selection process.

Good morning, SOE. Here’s wishing you another great day in your basement game room. Have you ever won at anything? You can be truthful. I’ll sympathize.
In the meantime, there may yet be hope for you, As W. Blake put it, “If a fool would persist in his folly he would become wise.” Think about that.
Cheers.

In consideration of the readers of this board who want to read about Yale football I will no longer be responding to your barbs. The vendetta you have against me for wanting to see Yale play at Georgia in 2029 shouldn’t detract from other people’ enjoyment of Yale football. Hopefully we can both agree on that.

Jaeden Graham has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, following in the footsteps of fellow TE out of Yale John Spagnola. Wishing Graham great success!
