When was the last time the OOC schedule was this.much of a yawner. As much as I respect and enjoy playing Holy Cross, I think a long term commitment to any school out of conference is a mistake. Reminds me of when Yale played Colgate every year from, I believe, 1968 until the mid seventies. Since there were only nine games then, and UConn was always on the schedule as well, it prevented some great Yale teams from testing themselves OOC. Happily, things changed in 1977.

Yale still has two open out of conference slots for 2023. I’m hoping one of those will be against a FBS opponent. Both Uconn and Army are listing only 11 games for 2023., each with an open date that would correspond with one of Yale’s out of conference road games. I’m hoping one of those two teams will be on Yale’s 2023 schedule.

Yale should have a decent shot at the championship if Nolan stays injury free and we are able to fill the linebacker positions with some hard hitters. Hope the spring game provides a preview of the talent at qb behind Nolan. There has been very little mentioned about the qbs that have been recruited in the last two classes or the incoming group.

Have to wait and see, April 23rd is coming. All shall be revealed. Or at least a better understanding. Personally I think it will Tutas.?

Another name in the QB mix would be Cole Hagen. Haven’t seen if he is planning on enrolling this fall after his church mission

Gentlemen; With all due respect regarding comments about non-Ancient eight opponents I think the Crusaders are a great fit since the Huskies are disinclined to commit to a long-term relationship. That being said adding the Huskies and the long gray line.to the schedule in 2023 would be most appealing.

It would be fun to play both the best (Georgia) and worst (Oberlin) teams in NCAA football. Hey, John Heisman coached Oberlin in the 1890’s.

Okay, half our guys would get hurt in an all-Bulldog clash. How ’bout the FCS champ, North Dakota State, and the Obies?

Give me a break.!! Yale Football is irrelevant.. so is Reno he is a jackass.

Can we at least get through a scrimmage first.?! Sheez.!! Any updates yet. From practice..?

Does the Ivy League allow Name-Image-Licensing (NIL) payments to football players? After the Supreme Court ruling I don’t know that they could prohibit Yale from procuring NIL deals for players.

University of New Haven as well!! Register ideally should have a write up on each school and the list of new recruits. Webpage for each college should have a PDF on the game as well. I can dream, right?!?!

My Sunday morning routine for years was to pick up the Register, The Waterbury Republican and, for the big games, I would add the Hartford Courant.

Now you can’t even get the Register to cover away games, except for Harvard.

Any chance of an Ivy championship for Yale baseball went down the tubes today as they dropped a doubleheader to Columbia.

Grooms threw a pick 6. Grant Jordan looked to me the best performing back-up QB Candidate. DB’s had a couple of interference calls. Rb’s (McKenzie, Eboboko, Saffold and Lee) all played well. Offensive line played very well in both pass protection and opening up holes. Just one bad snap from center. Passing game looked out of synch with a few dropped passes and one wide open receiver was badly overthrown in the end zone. Kicking game was shaky overall but Bosman performed best of the two kickers. They had jermaine baker who is listed as a Db playing OLB. Pantellus and Tipton had big gain catches.

2022 YALE FOOTBALL RECRUIT: RY YATES, TE, 6′ 4″, 240 LBS. VIENNA, VA. TRANSFER FROM WILLIAM & MARY COLLEGE. HAS 3 YRS OF ELIGIBITY REMAINING.

We did exactly the same thing in 2019, moving Sterling Strother, our best OT, to Center with rather good results.

Are the moderators going to provide us with a real analysis of the Spring game?

Aren’t Saturday’s doings in the Bowl worth some ink somewhere? If not here or the Yalie Daily, how about the football website? C’mon guys. You wonder why the Bowl’s empty.
