Congratulations , Yale Bulldogs, Reno good job today.. Grooms looked really good. . Use one of those young QB’s in backup to Grooms.

Great Spirit on the Yale sideline. The players are really into WINNING. The coaching staff is doing a great job of motivating the players when many students of their fellow students are anti-football. Go Eli !

Dudek was out today with an unspecified injury. It looked like O’Connor wasn’t dressed either.

Princetons kicker misses two FGs and Harvard wins in 3OT

Harvard got screwed. Twice.

The score in the third OT was called back for offensive pass interference. Then they scored in the 5th OT to tie but Princeton, supposedly, had call timeout.

Murphy went crazy and I don’t blame him.

Looked like sandlot football to me. Coaches (fathers) on the field arguing with the refs. Some of that also at YvP. Is this really college football? It is embarrassing to see how few fans attended the game. Almost no students. Of course, there has been no effort to attract fans – totally the opposite, as writers on this post have noted. Who in the hollowed Yale football world thinks that it is going in a positive direction? Please let us know!

Ask Vicky Chun.? You don’t fix things that don’t need fixing. She micro managed the fans outta the Bowl. No body wants to go to a game of inconvenience . This is not the time to gouge people. Who are trying to get back on their feet
She is a not right for the job. She’s not good for the community, she sucks!!!

No body knows about Yale Football, WELI Radio.? They don’t talk about Yale Football no coverage. Extremely DUMB not to have that over the airwaves. New Haven Register barley a blurb on Yale Football.
Turned your back on the community, the community turned its back on Yale Football. You old timers know what I’m saying. Yale just imploded.

Yale could be undefeated if Grooms had started and played every game. Even his scrambles give Yale a running attack, other wise totally missing.

Tre Peterson was a pleasant surprise. He seems to be the quickest of all the Yale running backs. I expect to see a lot more of him for the remainder of the season. Speed kills. Pairing Peterson with Grooms in the backfield will take the offense to the next level.

Yale has now beaten Penn four times in a row. The last last time Yale did that was when they had a 5 game winning steak from 73-77.

I’m wondering about the attendance at The Bowl it looked pretty sparse.? Penn had maybe 100 Yale side looked like 2,000. Yale looks like they doubled up the attendance on their site.?

Looking at the standings, Yale is essentially in a 1 game playoff. Every Saturday from here on out. Now that Reno , is playing Grooms. Yale stands a chance , to do something.
Go Bulldogs

Nolan Grooms has been named Ivy League offensive player of the week in his first career start!

There were moments yesterday when Nolan Grooms brought back memories of the kind of excitement that a certain quarterback with the initials BD displayed when his dual threat talents won many games for the Elis. The Yale coaching staff must find a way to improve the ground game and not be overly reliant on his running skills in order to reduce his chances of getting hurt.

Watching yesterday’s game , with Ron Vaccaro and Jack Sedliecki was nice to see those 2 back at it.
Leaves a question, ? Why did Yale do away with Radio Broadcasts.? I get into my car after a 14 hour shift at the hospital. I can’t listen to the game. !! Bring back radio broadcasts.

The Yale ground game suffered yesterday with the absence of Dudek and a depleted offensive line. Best I could tell from watching the game on TV,Cam Warfield was the only lineman playing in his usual position, OT. Amegadjie had shifted from C to G. Our best OL, Garguilo, was in a boot and on crutches. A FR, Sean Sullivan, and a Soph, Gabriel Sleenhof, we’re starting. Cubby Schuller, another reserve, was playing T. What’s the status of Twyford and Durand?

Another injury also concerns me: Oso Ifisinachukwu. He was not dressed out yesterday. If Oso is not our best defensive player, he’s in that conversation. Anybody know what Oso’s status is?

Good Luck with that. Closed practices. Oso arm is still in a sling.. Twyford and Durand are on 2nd string.

Imagine if the transfer portal could be … a time tunnel!

And out would pop Calvin Hill!!

Amazing how keeping your head down with proper fundamentals works. Good job for Boseman. May he keep on getting better.
He was also made special teams player for the Penn game.

Gentlemen; mr grooms in the past outing against the ben franklins did indeed bring back the shades of mr. dowling but a long way to go to reach that level of distinction.. our blue coaching staff needs to step up to present a offensive and defensive plan against a very formidable lion squad.

Guys if Grooms goes down were in trouble.Have to get the freshman QB up to game speed now not later. Freshman QB look good on film get them ready Ben Finkel would be my pick with Austin Tutas second. Go Blue. Tre Peterson looked good at, RB has to have more playing time in games.

Saturday’s Football game with Columbia, is supposedly lots of precipitation. With that in mind I give . I give the edge to Columbia. But if Yale can find its OLine it can go to Yale . If they can keep the Columbia O off the field. Good Bulldogs.

A new sophomore QB for Yale. Bad weather. Please, please, please. No repeat of Rutgers 1966 since there have been comparisons to BD.

Glad to know after 55 years I’m not the only one who still thinks about the weather conditions of that Rutgers game and what happened to BD. Let’s hope the artificial turf provides better footing. The forecast is for drenching rain.

I often wonder how the 1966 team would have fared if Dowling hadn’t been Injured. No doubt they would have beaten Princeton and no doubt they wouldn’t have been shut out by Harvard.

Whether Dowling’s streak of never losing a game he started and finished would have survived is the great unknown.
