Seven recruits from Texas! Looks like Yale will be scheduling an away game in Texas soon to keep this pipeline going. Maybe Sam Houston State, or dare to dream Rice?

Better chance to schedule SMU than Rice. Ponies likely to be less concerned about (a) losing to Yale, (b) getting no bowl credit if they do beat Yale and (c) Yale’s small draw, which would be less visible at small Gerald Ford field than at much bigger Rice Stadium.

I’d be ecstatic to play either Smu or Rice. Both schools traditionally considered “Southern Ivies.”

We have 2 coming from Austin Westlake (Reed Klubnik) – one being a receiver (who looks quite impressive) as Westlake won state last season so this guy and his teammate OT must be solid;

Also DB from Houston, and another receiver from Cedar Hill school (believe thats near Dallas) so good sign we are developing a pipeline in Texas. We have game vs Mercer Atlanta 2021 so perhaps we can also get a game in Texas soon.

This kid Hagen put 10 or 15 pounds on him put him at TB. He can run good moves. Has good acceleration just a idea.

It’s the most critical position on the team and you really can’t have too many. Remember 2012? Or 2018 for Columbia?

Why are Saffold, Guyton both with 247 stars and supposed to be committed to Yale for weeks or months not recognized by 247? Hagan was listed on the first day of his commitment! Stars don’t mean much on the field, but may matter to future recruits.

The “star system” is flawed and heavily weighted towards FBS commits. Ivy and Patriot League recruits who commit early, before banking a firm FBS offer, often go unrated. If they change their minds and take an FBS offer, they suddenly get 2 or 3 star ratings.
I just saw this happen locally on Wednesday. A terrific player passed on Ivy, Patriot, and service academy offers and accepted a late FBS full scholarship. The press conference and front page article was followed by a brand new 3 star rating on 247. On Tuesdsy he was unrated…………

Plenty of All-Ivy players with FBS talent get ratings that are too low or go unrated because they don’t play offers against each other or commit to Ivy programs early.

Yale looks to have another banner class coming in. the question I have are the referees in this conference who are grossly underperforming in these games consistently bad officiating , what can be done. They need to be held accountable for what they do and what they don’t do. But they definitely need to be schooled in proper officiating.
To the point where they need to be suspended oar band from officiating

What’s up with Hamden Hall’s Corey Millhouse. LACROSSE AND HE WANTS TO PLAY FOOTBALL as well . Top schools are Yale and Virginia. Oh he ran a 4.37 in the 40..,!!!
Come on Yale get this LOCAL young man.!!!

My apologies, I wasn’t aware that this was archived. At the New Haven Register. This young man is already playing LACROSSE at Loyola.
I enjoy watching local talent. Unfortunately most go else where.

One more recruit-Nathaniel Campbell, 6’3″, 200 lbs ,OLB/SS from Oswego East HS, Oswego IL.
Offers from: Cornell, Dayton, Valpo, Drake.
We are still desperately short of the essential building blocks of any championship team: large, gritty, athletic interior linemen.

Gentlemen; we still need some run stopping middle linebackers and Look for incoming freshmen Mr. Florio to take over the kicking duties Based upon his 38 yard plus average which would have been third in the ancient eight.

Any one look at Princeton football recruits what a glass there number one for a reason. Lot of good players Yale and Harvard wanted. Whose every recruiting for Princeton besides the coaches is doing a outstanding job.

I wondered about Lamar because of his missing the whole 2017 season. Glad he’s coming back.

This is great news! If he can get back to his old form and has no more health issues, he could make a difference in winning a few games.

Trenton Charles is also on the 2020 roster as is Noah Pope. Jacob Hinish however is off the roster so the center position is wide open for Yale.

THE SCHEDULE FOR SPRING FOOTBALL PRACTICES HAS BEEN PUBLISHED. ARE THE PRACTICES OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ?

Ray if there in the bowl stay home have a cold one on me no one gets in unless your a kiss ass. Reno has hurt the fan base people who care about Yale football are now left out in the cold. Now there is no way to know the players like we use to .What a shame fifty years watching down the drain. See you guys soon Ray John Son of Sam Stan and Paul and son of Eli. Walt Yale blue.

I agree, should have had a lot more people than . What was and average of 4,000 people.
45,000 for the Yale Harvard game.1st time in over 50 years I only went to 1 game. I’ll try and readjust and try to conform. But maybe not.

Good Luck Yale, The administration needs to rectify what they did. It doesn’t feel family friendly anymore. Not enough things for the young kids to do. and charging young children to come to see if football game is outrageous
Good options are non-existent and expensive. Once your in , you can’t go back to your car. Without purchasing another ticket is rediculous.
True fans , can’t mingle with the team. Bond is broken so is throwing your fans under the bus. Good luck playing in front of 3,000 people if your lucky. Kids wanna play in front crowds bigger than you will be doong

Is Harvard playing At Yale this year.? The great minds finally figure out to make more money. They may as well play at Yale.
Now if only they could ,figure out how to put people in the stands for the other 5 games.
Minus the Clear bag policy and no food, would greatly help the cause.

Wow all those empty seats at Ingalls Rink. I don’t go because of the hassle to park my car.
I have ECAC tickets for who ever The Quinnipiac Bobcats though.. Free parking. Get a clue Yale. So smart your stupid. Meaning no common sense.

JH – not sure what hassles you encounter — I attended the Princeton hockey game a few weeks ago. Parked for free in the Lock Street garage. Easy in, easy out, no charge.

Regarding the problems with attendance at the Bowl: it seems like Ms. Chun wants to make football equal with most of the other sports offered at Yale: attendance is exclusively the families of the players. Anyone else is welcome to show up, but don’t expect to be appreciated or catered to in any way. That’s a shame.

I heard the players wont be getting rings because that requires too much hand touching in the sizing process. Will be getting Championship medical masks instead

The watch things are going medical masks might be worth more than the rings soon.

Who cares about spring practices you cannot watch anyway. What are they going to do about the yale football camps that are coming up soon cancelled them also. That would hurt recruiting not just us everyone. Im going to the basement now see you next year i hope.

Said Typhoid Mary.!!! Granted more people have died from the Flu. But they’re still trying to figure out all the angles. . It takes 2 weeks to hit you.

Meanwhile Yale men’s basketball team has won an Ivy title for the fourth time in six years! Thought you all needed a little good news.

Dropping spring practice will hurt against non-Ivy opponents, unless they choose to do likewise. All the Ivies will be in the same boat. Speaking of boats- our crew will be deprived of a chance to win another national championship, as will our wonderful lacrosse team.
