Dudek is back! 216 yds rushing on just 21 attempts for a 10.3 ypc avg. also had 78 receiving yds, 294 total yards and 1 TD.

Well, they weren’t able to contain QB Perry very well, but they sure did everything else just right! Congratulations to the big blue team and its coaches!

Good win! I had heard that Brown’s QB was special, and he sure was. He almost single-handedly kept the Bruins in the game (actually got them in the lead early in the third, but the touchdown completion call was correctly overturned). He kept the issue in doubt till late in the game.

What I don’t understand about our secondary is this: Shohfi and Klubnik are two of the best Bulldog receivers of all time, maybe two of the best Ivy League receivers of all time. And yet you NEVER see them running alone, wide open, It seems most, if not all, of their receptions come with someone draped on their shoulder or climbing up their backs; their receptions seem to be the function of great athleticism or precisely thrown balls or both. Yesterday there were two or three instances where Brown receivers were so alone in space they might as well have been Tom Hanks’ character in the movie “Castaway.” And this seems to happen two or three times EVERY SINGLE GAME.

I don’t get it. These are not world-receivers, as far as I can tell. Somebody, or somebodies, are simply missing assignments, Not getting beat, per se, but just missing assignments. Or someone is calling the wrong scheme.

Well, whatever. Just frustrating to watch.

I believe the Bulldogs have a real chance to run the table if the offense continues to click as it has. Unfortunately, it might only get them an outright second-place finish, but after the Dartmouth debacle, even second place seemed a too-lofty ambition.

I believe it all falls on the shoulders of the defense. I think the offense will do its job.

Well said. I don’t believe Yale has inferior athletes in our secondary. It has to be the coaching.

Yale will beat Princeton next week if the defense that played against Columbia and against Brown in the 4th quarter shows up. If not it will be a replay of last year’s game.

Yale can’t wait to do ,what they did in the 4th quarter. They have to execute . The whole game against The next 2 opponens and for God’s Sake stop the stupid whoofing. penalties. Make the play get ready for the next play..
Go Blue

Good point. Just looked it up and Yale is the most penalized team in the league with an average of over 60 penalty yards a game. Yale also ranks last in the league in punting and 2nd to last in pass defense. These are the areas Yale needs to work on to win the HYP title.

Is the Yale offense better than Princeton’s or Harvard’s? Probably. But is the Yale offense better than Princeton’s or Harvard’s offense against Yale’s defense? That’s the unknown.

And if Bulldogs play like they did against Dartmouth we have no chance. I am not sharing all of the optimism about Dudek and the team. We just gave up 35 to a team with one win. Harvard held Brown to 7 points.

Teams hopefully get better from the 1st game to the tenth. I’ll give credit to Coach Perry and Brown.. As Reno and the Bulldogs.
Yale has the athletes, these young men need the best coaches. If Reno is going to stay , he may want to consider getting a few new coaches. To give this team a better chance to succeed.

Well have we all come down to earth from our win over Brown. Boy i hope so because here come the big boys.Princeton and Harvard are loaded for bear after there losses last Sat. Both teams are loaded with talent they are not Brown this will be huge test for Yale.Lets not kid ourselves were not going to put up 59 points against these teams. Both teams will give us problems on both sides of the ball. Worried about our DB with these teams they were lost last weekend with Brown. Thats not good for Yale.Mr CAHILL if you have any plays hidden in your play book get them out. If you stay with the one back offense all game Yale will be in trouble. These teams have better players on defense then Brown. There Linebackers are big and fast and our good against the run. The DB cover well and are big hitters. They have a good offense line not great there RB are good and quick. If we come up with a good game plan and get the tight ends involved early and get some play action going and please get the ball to our running backs out of the back field they were wide open against brown all day .The offense line has to do a better job blocking for us to win the game. The defense line has to get off there blocks quickly to stop there run game.LB have to be able to cover the wide side of the field on there sweeps.GO BLUE 28 Yale 21 PRINCETON.

I assume we’re keeping a close eye on Westlake’s sophomore QB, Cade Klubnik. younger brother of our #14.
